Electric golf trolleys are the latest “must have” accessory for the modern golfer and one of the best manufacturers on the market is the relatively new brand of Motocaddy. Since arriving on the scene in 2005, Motocaddy have developed the design, technology and reliability of the electric golf trolley to the extent that it can meet the needs of even the most demanding golfer. An example of this development is the inclusion of an integrated GPS distance measuring unit into the golf trolley and it’s surprising that this technology took so long to find its way into such an obvious application. The inclusion of GPS is the result of a collaboration between Motocaddy and Sureshot to produce the S5 GPS and Motocaddy’s range is completed by the S1 and S3 Digital.
The whole range of Motocaddys electric golf trolleys are made from a sturdy aerospace aluminum frame, and power is provided by a whisper quiet 200W motor. Motocaddy have designed them so that they are lightweight (7.6kg) and easy to fold so that they can be folded down to fit into the boot of virtually any car.
The S1 Digital is the ideal trolley for golfers of all abilities, as it’s incredibly easy to use and offers excellent value for money. Motocaddy have combined the nine digital speed settings and on-off button into one single button. Golfers will also always know how much battery is left, as the S1 Digital has a battery meter for its new light weight battery.
The S3 Digital is a bit flashier than the S1 Digital and has won multiple awards from numerous well established golfing magazines. It also has the nine speed digital settings, with a stylish blue-backlit display and battery meter. With the S3 Digital you also have the option of three distance readings, time and Adjustable Distance Control (ADC), which let the golfer send the S3 Digital off towards the next tee up to any distance of 60 yards in 5 yards increments.
The S5 GPS is the worlds first motorized golf trolley that has build in GPS providing the keen golfer exact yardages to front, middle and back of the greens, as well as identifying any hazards that might be in their way. The golfer can record every statistic they like from greens and fairways in regulation, sand saves, up and downs, driving distance and putts per hole.
The S5 Digital shares many features with the S1 & S3 Digital and also comes with a remote control providing a hands free option. If you wish to get some exercise then the Sureshot GPS can be detached and used independently of the trolley.
Motocaddy have recently announced that they plan to delay the launch of the S5 GPS model citing problems with the reliability and potential long term product support for the unit.
This concern centres around the GPS element of the product and they wish to secure the required level of service back up for the supplied electronic components from their collaboration with Sureshot.
The issues seem particularly intractable since Motocaddy have also decided not to continue as the European Distributor for Sureshot, although they will offer product support to customers that have purchased handheld GPS units until a new Distributor is appointed.

This Canon Deluxe Photo Backpack 200EG is the best ever cost-to-value product that Canon came up with. I compared this backpack to similar Tamrac and Lowepro backpacks.
My huge LowePro Nova 5AW always hurt my shoulder and back when I carry it around with all my stuff in which is so much. I saw the Canon Deluxe Photo Backpack 200EG and I immediately ordered one after reading many good reviews about it. I am really impressed with the huge amount of equipment it holds and how it is easily modifiable for your particular needs. It was half the price of my old LowePro bag. Its very well designed and constructed with lots of compartments, zippers, external straps, protective padding and quality materials. I carry the following items in this bag and it still had more room to go, I carry in this bag Canon 20D with the 28-135IS Lens attached, charger for the BP-511, charger for the BP-511, Firewire CF reader, a lens cleaning kit (small 5×7x1 box), four bp-511-type batteries, Hoya filter packs (3 boxes) for the 18-55, a 380EX flash, 50mm/1.8 mkI lens, 300D/Digital Rebel Body with the battery grip attached, Tiffen filter essentials for the giant 28-135 lens, ) table top tripod, 18-55 EF lens, a bunch of ends and odds like a flat level, the Rebel wired remote, etc.
External compartments of this Canon Deluxe Photo Backpack 200EG hold everything else such as chargers, cables, spare battery packs etc. It has got straps for carrying all kinds of stuff. On the bottom, It has other straps to carry my tripod which my old bag did not have. There is one empty front pocket and a spot in the compartments and plenty of room in the pockets, Not to mention, I can easily put cell phone and its charger in the side compartment and one Parodis pack or even two in the other side.
The best thing for me I found in this bag is that the camera is easy to retrieve when I pack it in the bag and it is ready to shoot. So I can have my 20D camera ready to go with the lens 28-135 IS hood on it. Unlike some other backpacks that require you to open the bag completely, this bag can have the camera located exactly near the opening so all I need to do is just move the zipper and the camera can easily slide out. For me, this is a big plus to the Canon Deluxe Photo Backpack 200EG design because I do not have to reveal the entire contents of my bag to everyone to get the camera out. Instead I can retrieve the camera alone where no one sees what else is inside there and the camera all ready to shoot.
The flap/cover which zips open of this bag has both exterior and interior pockets. The external portion of the flap/cover has a compartment that zips horizontally across the mid portion of the flap/cover and it also has a zipper and when opening it follows a semicircular pattern . Again, there is much of storage space in these pockets. There are two mesh pockets with zippers on the inside of this flap. There is ample space to store all flash cards, manual, batteries, or whatever. It has the same width and length similar to the compartment that contains all the camera equipment I specified.
There are two smaller pockets of this Canon Deluxe Photo Backpack 200EG that have a zelcro attachment on the side of the bag. I place lens cleaning equipment and cleaning cloths in these pockets. On the bottom of the bag, there are straps that allow you to attach your tripod, the tripod is held securely and doesn’t bounce against you while you are walking. There are straps which connect across your waist and chest to aid in weight distribution. I prefer the waist straps to the chest straps. The shoulder straps make toting the bag extremely comfortable as they are thick and well padded. Fit and finish appears well done and with high quality.
To share with you my buying experience, After lengthy research I ordered it from Amazon and in just a few days after placing my order they shipped it to me. Amazon’s current price (around $41 at time of writing) is a steal and I could never find this price in any other website after my research before buying it as I found that their price can surely never be beaten and also why I chose Amazon is that I found this item to be eligible for free shippping with their super saver shipping service which saved me some extra bucks!
Wow!!! I am really impressed with this Canon Deluxe Photo Backpack 200EG! And to top it all off, Not only is the bag very comfortable when loaded with all that mess of stuff in the bag , but the zippers also operate very easily. I walk around very comfortably unlike many other backpacks.
For me, this bag is a no-brainer and it is absolutely worth it even at the list price but at the markdown price, I would say it is undoubtedly a steal. I saved around $100 compared to similarly styled and sized bags from Tamrac and Lowepro.

A digital camera takes videos as well as still photographs digitally by recording images through an electronic image sensor. The big advantage of digital cameras is that making photos is both economical and swift because there is no film processing.
The leading brands in the field of digital camera at present are Pentax, Nikon, Canon, Olympus, Fuji, and Panasonic. In addition, there are about 10 different types of digital cameras like compact digital cameras, bridge cameras, SLRs and live scan cameras to name few.
There are many digital camera accessories available in the market to enhance its stimulating experience. Each accessory will add its own unique and distinct value to any digital camera. A memory card is one of the most important accessories of a digital camera.
At present, we can go anywhere with an ultra-portable, high-speed USB flash drive that provides a convenient solution for storing, transferring, and sharing multimedia and more.
Batteries are the energy of digital cameras. Some digital cameras come with rechargeable batteries. Tripods are the stands that help us to take shots in a better way. We can use tripods if we want our photographs without blur and have a professional touch.
A camera case or bag is one of the most important accessories for your digital camera. The best camera bag cases provide sufficient padding to protect a camera against being dropped and they provide dedicated areas for accessories
We can purchase trendily designed cases for protecting our cameras and to make sure that we are always in style. Many great looking cases are now on offer as well. They vary from the large and quite costly soft leather cases to the smaller and more affordable carry pouches.
Some of the popular brands of camera cases and bags include Bellingham, Crumpler, Domke, Kata, LowePro, and Tamrac, Samsonite.Camera cases come in all shapes and sizes, from the simple form-fitted case to backpacks with pouches in large numbers.
There are number of camera cases and bags available in the market such as Small bags, shoulder bags, sling bags, rolling cases, hard cases and many others. Form-fitting digital SLR camera cases are designed for specific cameras. Small bags and fanny packs are best suited for one camera with several lenses. Backpacks and sling packs are for photographers who want to carry lots of gear all the time.
A good camera case or bag will protect our camera from scratches, knocks, bumps and some drops. Some are also waterproof – good for that unexpected shower or extreme weather conditions.

Before you can talk about differences between clustering and load balancing, and there are more than a few, you’ve got to get the definitions straight. Clustering is often understood to mean the capability of some software to provide load balancing services, and load balancing is often used as a synonym for a hardware- or third-party-software-based solution.
In practice, clustering is usually used with application servers like IBM WebSphere, BEA WebLogic and Oracle AS (10g). Also being used in that environment are load balancing features found in Application Delivery Controllers (ADC) like BIG-IP. (For simplicity, we will talk about clustering versus ADC approaches.)
Scalability, horizontally speaking
There are hardware load balancers, of course, but there we talk about pools or farms, the server groupings where application requests get distributed. It is in the software world that the term cluster is applied to that same group.
Clustering will typically convert one instance of an application server to a master controller, then process/distribute requests to multiple instances using such industry standard algorithms as round robin, weighted round robin or least connections. Clustering is similar to load balancing in that it has horizontal scalability, a nearly transparent way to add additional instances of application servers for increased capacity or response time performance. To ensure that an instance is actually available, clustering approaches typically use an ICMP ping check or, sometimes, HTTP or TCP connection checks.
Health and transparency
For load balancing, ADCs support the same industry algorithms, but have additional, complex number-crunching processes, and check such parameters as per-server CPU and memory utilization, fastest response times, etc. ADCs also support more robust health monitoring than the simple app server clustering solutions. This means they can verify content and do passive monitoring, dispensing with even the low impact of health checks on app server instances.
For applications that require the user to interact with the same server during a session, clustering uses server affinity to get the user there. This is most common during the execution of a process like order entry, where the session is used between pages (requests) to store data needed to close a transaction, like a shopping cart.
For the same situation, ADCs use persistence. Clustering solutions are usually somewhat limited as to the variables they can use, while ADCs can not only use traditional application variables but also get other information from the application or network-based data.
More than a few clustering solutions need node-agents deployed on each instance of an application server that is clustered by a controller. It may not be a burden as far as deploying and managing it, since it is often in place, but it is still means more processes running on the servers and consuming memory and CPU resources. Of course, it also adds another possible failure point to the data path. Since ADCs need no server-side components, they remain completely transparent.
Making the choice
Some would ask, Why do the extra work of building a distributed software system and cluster server setup when you can have multiple servers fulfilling specific roles such as separate database servers, web servers, mail servers, etc. whenever necessary?
So, how do you choose? That depends on the reasons you are considering this kind of solution in the first place, and (perhaps) whether or not you have to make an additional purchase to achieve clustering capabilities for the particular application server you have. There is also the broader question of whether or not you need (or want) to provide support for multiple application server brands. Clustering, of course, is proprietary to the application server, but ADCs can provide services for any and all applications or web servers.
Clustering checklist
Pros:
*Typically available with application server’s enterprise package
*Doesn’t require the highest level of networking know-how
*Usually less costly than redundant ADC deployments
Cons:
*High availability not assured with clustering solutions
*Best practices deploy the cluster controller on separate hardware
*Node agents required on managed app server instances
*Clustering is “proprietary” (you can cluster only homogeneous servers)
ADC checklist
Pros:
*Provides high availability and load balancing in heterogeneous environments
*Added value of application optimization, security and acceleration
*No changes required to applications or servers where they’re deployed
Cons:
*An additional piece of infrastructure in the architecture
*Generally more costly than clustering solutions
*Could require new skill set to deploy/manage
Recommendations
Get more insight into performance, configurations and case studies by reading some testing-based articles on ADCs, and testing-based reviews of server clustering. Look for case studies that mirror your own situation, as closely as possible, and talk to people who are doing what you are planning (or thinking about). Unlike government going into the car business or taking over health care, do not do something quickly just to be seen doing something. Take care with this decision.
